Your Stay at Anupaya

everything you need to settle in, slow down and make the most of your time here.

Dear Guest

This place was created out of a deep love for nature, slow living and the kind of rest that feels hard to come by in everyday life. What started as a small, simple idea has grown into something we feel incredibly grateful to share.

Our hope is that your time here feels grounding, spacious and quietly restorative - whether that means slow mornings on the river, long walks in the woods or evenings by the fire.

We’re so happy you’re here.

Before You Arrive

Check in is between 4pm - 10pm. If you need to arrive outside of this window, just reach out and we’ll do our best to accommodate.

When you arrive, pull up to the main lodge and we’ll be there to welcome you, get you settled and hand over your keys!

We’ve also put together a few simple house guidelines below. They’re here to help us care for the cabins, the land and the experience for everyone who stays.

Getting Here

1696 Moore’s Road. Deep River, Ontario

We’re located just outside of Deep river, nested between forest, field and shoreline. The drive in is part of the experience - we hope you take your time and enjoy it.

Your Cabin

Our cabins are intentionally simple - a blend of rustic charm and quiet luxury, grounded in the surrounding landscape.

They’re designed to feel comfortable and easy while still connected to nature - where you’ll notice the sounds of the forest, the changing light and the feeling of being truly in it, not separated from it.

Inside your cabin, you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable linens and thoughtful touches to make your stay feel relaxed and effortless.

Mornings here tend to start slowly - coffee on the deck, wrapped in a blanket, watching the sunrise come up over the river. It’s one of our favourite parts of being here and we hope it becomes one of yours too.

CARING FOR OUR TOWELS + LINENS

Our crisp white towels and bed linens are one of those little luxuries we love providing. To help us keep them beautiful for every guest, please use the dark beach towels and dark hand towels for sunscreen, makeup removal, self-tanner, fire pit soot, muddy feet or anything else that may stain.

If white towels or bed linens are permanently stained or damaged beyond normal laundering, a replacement fee may apply.

Caring For Anupaya

We’ve kept things here intentionally simple. These guidelines aren’t so much about rules as they are about helping us care for this little piece of land so every guest can experience Anupaya the way it was meant to be.

Quiet Evenings

One of the things people love most about Anupaya is how peaceful it feels.

No music outdoors, no yelling and please just be mindful that many guests come here to rest, reconnect and enjoy the quiet.

We also ask that all noise be kept to an absolute minimum after 10pm.

Campfires

Each cabin has a small stack of firewood waiting on your deck. If you’d like more, we’re happy to bring it by - additional bags are available for $10.

When you’re finished with your fire, please use the buckets provided to collect river water and fully extinguish it. Please don’t cover fires with sand, as it buries over fire pits over time.

To help us keep our outdoor furniture looking beautiful, please don’t drag the outdoor poofs to the fire pits. Unfortunately sparks can burn holes into the fabric.

Visitors

Only registered guests are permitted on the property unless arranged with us in advance.

Smoking

Smoking is ONLY permitted in the designated smoking area at the front of the property, beside the entrance sign, where you’ll find a cigarette disposal receptacle.

Smoking is not permitted on cabin decks, the beach, around the fire pits or anywhere else on the property.

Please help us keep the beach and grounds beautiful by disposing of butts in the provided receptacle. If additional cleanup is required due to cigarette litter, a cleanup fee may apply.

Composting & Waste

We are a Certified Wildlife Habitat, and caring for the land is a big part of what we do here.

All food scraps and organic materials are composted and returned to the land - combined with garden waste and what comes from our chickens and goats - to become rich soil that feeds the gardens each season.

You’ll find compost bins and recycling options in your cabin. Thank you for taking a moment to sort things thoughtfully.

Life at Anupaya

Anupaya is more than just a place to stay - it’s a small, living piece of land that we’re slowly tending and growing.

Throughout the property, you’ll find gardens, open space and pockets of life everywhere you look. We keep chickens, bees and goats, grow food seasonally and are always working towards a more thoughtful, connected way of living.

You might hear the chickens in the morning, see the goats wandering nearby, or catch the light moving across the river at the end of the day. It’s quiet, but it’s so, so ALIVE.

We sincerely hope you take your time here. Slow mornings, long walks and simple, unrushed days are kind of our thing.

Things to Do

Most days here are best spent slowly - on the beach, in the river or wandering the land.

If you feel like exploring a little further, we’ve put together a guide to some of our favourite local spots - from quiet trails and lookouts to simple and delicious places to eat or grab a coffee.

Explore the area.

Departure

Check out is 11am.

Before you leave, we just ask a few simple things:

Wash and put away all dishes

Gather your belongings and do a quick check of the space

Leave the cabin as you found it

That’s it! We’ll take care of the rest.

Safe travels and thank you for being here.

We hope your time here felt slow, restful and just what you needed - and we’d LOVE to welcome you back again soon.
